Multi-Objective Evaluation Model With Fuzzy Goal Programming: A Satisficing Method

چکیده

The paradigm of multi-criteria decision making considers not only many attributes in the decision-making process but also the optimization of a number of objectives to accomplish certain targets. A multi-objective programming problem is a problem involving the simultaneous optimization of various, often conflicting, objective functions under certain given constraints to find compromise solutions 1991). The solution of multi-objective optimization problems is dependent upon the decision-makers preferences and often involves a search for the most preferred compromise solution. Although in real-life situations, many problems have been studied from the optimization point of view, an optimization approach does not always provide the best practical solution because decision-making is highly influenced by social and economic environments. Moreover, in the real world, there exist multiple objectives that are optimized only in parallel with iterative, trial-and-error processes because those objectives are fundamentally conflicting, incommensurable, imprecise or fuzzy in nature. This nature often leads multi-objective decision making to seek the most preferred compromise (satisfied) solution rather than an optimal solution. This solution can be accomplished by setting goals and then seeking the particular allocation that offers the best promise of achieving those goals (Saaty, 1980). Given the inherent issues with optimization, a satisfaction approach should be a much better solution method in many practical situations. One of the solutions to address the mathematical programming problem with multiple objectives is the goal programming (GP) model (Charnes and Cooper, 1961), which is developed based on a satisfaction philosophy. The GP model enables the decision-maker to evaluate many goals simultaneously and choose the

Measuring a Dynamic Efficiency Based on MONLP Model under DEA Control

Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a common technique in measuring the relative efficiency of a set of decision making units (DMUs) with multiple inputs and multiple outputs. ‎‎Standard DEA models are ‎‎quite limited models‎, ‎in the sense that they do not consider a DMU ‎‎at different times‎. ‎To resolve this problem‎, ‎DEA models with dynamic ‎‎structures have been proposed‎.‎In a recent pape...

A Fuzzy Goal Programming Model for Efficient Portfolio Selection.

This paper considers a multi-objective portfolio selection problem imposed by gaining of portfolio, divided yield and risk control in an ambiguous investment environment, in which the return and risk are characterized by probabilistic numbers. Based on the theory of possibility, a new multi-objective portfolio optimization model with gaining of portfolio, divided yield and risk control is propo...

A Chance Constrained Multiple Objective Goal Programming Model of Fuzzy QFD and FMEA: Model Development

There are varieties of QFD combination forms available that can help management to choose the right model for his/her types of problem. The proposed MOCC-QFD-FMEA model is a right model to include variety of objectives as well as the risk factors into the model of the problem. Due to the fact that the model also takes into consideration the concept of Fuzzy set, it further allows management...

A New Compromise Decision-making Model based on TOPSIS and VIKOR for Solving Multi-objective Large-scale Programming Problems with a Block Angular Structure under Uncertainty

This paper proposes a compromise model, based on a new method, to solve the multi-objective large-scale linear programming (MOLSLP) problems with block angular structure involving fuzzy parameters. The problem involves fuzzy parameters in the objective functions and constraints. In this compromise programming method, two concepts are considered simultaneously. First of them is that the optimal ...

Fuzzy Multi-Objective Linear Programming for Project Management Decision under Uncertain Environment with AHP Based Weighted Average Method

Smooth implementation and controlling conflicting goals of a project with the usage of all related resources through organization is inherently a complex task to management. At the same time deterministic models are never efficient in practical project management (PM) decision problems because the related parameters are frequently fuzzy in nature. The project execution time is a major concern o...
